Looking to switch things up and create space at home? Maybe you’re buying your first home, renting your first apartment, or downsizing!

We have a great space-saving solution for you. At Garner Appliance & Mattress, we can help you select the perfect stackable washer-dryer pair that is sure to get the job done.

Gone are the days of stackable units that lacked the durability and strength of stand-alone units. There are amazing design features on the market today to create a one-of-a-kind laundry center to give your laundry that fresh, clean feeling, load after load.

Why Choose A Stackable?

What are the great features?

From compact to high-capacity and commercial, washer-dryer pairs are in sync when it comes to sharing the load. Our state-of-the-art washer/dryers offer a variety of features, from compact to commercial, by the appliance leaders:

  • GE: Unitized Space maker Capacity Washer 3.8 cu. ft. with stainless steel basket and 5.9 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Dryer
  • Frigidaire: Electric Washer/Dryer Laundry Center with 3.9 cu. ft. washer and 5.5 cu. ft. dryer, excellent cleaning performance with quick wash and dry cycles
  • Speed Queen: White stacker washer/dryer (Gas) with stainless steel tub and balance technology
  • Whirlpool: 1.6 cu. ft. 120V/20A electric stacked with six wash cycles and wrinkle shield

What are the types of washer-dryer units?

Home Advisor notes that there are a variety of configurations when it comes to a stackable:

  • Size: The size listed on a unit refers to its width. The two most common widths are 27 inches (the same as most stand-alone washers/dryers) and 24 inches, which will fit more easily into most closets).
  • Voltage: Most stackable washer-dryer units require a 220-volt power outlet. Some compact units only require a 110-volt outlet.
  • Washer Configuration: Washers come in both top-loading and front-loading types. Top-loading are less expensive and easier on your back, but front-loading are more efficient, using two-thirds less water. Both are available as a stackable.
  • Gas vs. Electric Type: Dryers may be powered by either gas or electric. If your home is already set up for gas, then it might be a more efficient option. If not, it is probably best to go with an electric dryer.
  • Energy Rating: All stackables are rated by the Dept. of Energy for their efficiency. More efficient units may cost a bit more but will save you money in the long run.
